How do I get ABA therapy for my child?
Start by contacting an ABA provider directly — most, including Inspire, do not require a referral to begin the conversation. You'll complete a referral packet, the provider verifies your insurance benefits, you submit intake paperwork and your child's diagnosis, and a BCBA completes a comprehensive assessment. Once the plan is authorised, sessions begin. At Inspire the whole process is six steps and our team guides you through each one.
Do I need a diagnosis before enrolling?
Most insurers require a formal autism diagnosis from a licensed pediatrician, psychologist, or developmental specialist before authorising ABA therapy. If your child hasn't been evaluated yet, our parent resources list local diagnostic options across the Phoenix area — and you can still call us to talk through next steps.
How long does enrollment take?
It depends mainly on how quickly your insurer processes benefit verification and authorisation, and on how soon assessment paperwork comes back. Our team keeps things moving and tells you where you are at each stage rather than leaving you waiting.
What paperwork will I need?
A completed patient referral packet and assessment packet, your child's developmental history and consent forms, a copy of your insurance card, and documentation of your child's diagnosis.
Can I choose in-home or in-center before the assessment?
You can tell us your preference at inquiry, and it's a real part of the conversation. The final recommendation comes from your BCBA after assessment, because the right setting depends on your child's goals — and for many families a hybrid of both works best.
